The Art of a Community is our 20th annual members-only exhibition showcasing the multifaceted talents of our member artists.

Next Generation

March 12 – April 10

The Next Generation exhibition is created specifically for Benicia students. Student artwork ranging from kindergarteners through high school seniors is displayed for a month in the Arts Benicia gallery. Student artists from all Benicia schools, afterschool and private art education programs are invited to participate.

This celebration of youthful creativity began in 1996 at Arts Benicia with great support from the community.

Benicia Artists Open Studios

Preview Exhibition: April 23 – May 8

Open Studios 2-day event: May 7 & 8, 10am-5pm

Each year the community of artists and artisans in the City of Benicia welcome visitors to experience an Open Studios event the first weekend of May. This is a unique opportunity to meet artists in their studios and live/works spaces to see new and exciting works of art.

Forma Natura

Forma Natura is an exhibition of seven California regional artists whose biomorphic abstractions and organic shapes evoke patterns, forms, and echoes of the natural world.

Chaos has no meaning without order. An examination of the creative relationship between order and chaos and the delicate balance that artists must maintain.

 

Arts Benicia Annual Art Auction & Gala

September 24 at the Historic Benicia Clock Tower, 6:30pm

Each September, art lovers and collectors from around the Bay Area flock to one of Benicia’s most exciting and entertaining fundraising events, held in Benicia’s historic Clock Tower.

Works on paper by emerging artists from Bay Area MFA programs, including California College of the Arts (CCA), University of California at Davis, UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, Stanford University, Mills College,   San Francisco Art Institute and the Academy of Art University.
