Class Description: Create a one of a kind “landscape” accordion fold book, 30″ long by 5 3/4″wide with Ronna Leon. Your image will be printed as a continuous strip, a mono-print, trace or freely made with brayers, stencils, stamps in printer’s ink. Cover Boards and Papers will also be provided. Instructions on how to accurately fold and bind your book will be given so that once your print is dry you can do the final assembly at home. You will also go home with a completed model of the book you are making. Simple accordian fold books are one of the most useful book structures and offer endless possibilities to printmakers and artists working in other mediums.
Bring a bag lunch. All workshop materials will be provided. If you have an idea for your “landscape” feel free to sketch it in 30″x 5 3/4″ inch format. Individual page size is 3 3/4″, two page open fold layout 7 1/4″ both 5 3/4″ wide OR just come and play and create something magical.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Ronna Leon studied printmaking at UCSB’s College of Creative Studies. Raised in a family with a small press and publishing business, she has had a life-long love of graphic arts, ink, and paper. She has experience teaching monotype, etching, collographic, and lithographic techniques. She adds to her own skills with new developments in printmaking which she shares with workshop participants. Her own work has been featured in a variety of small exhibitions within the United States and abroad and she has had a solo show at the Benicia Public Library, Marilyn O’Rourke Gallery. For the past twelve years, she has directed the Printmaker’s Workshop for Arts Benicia.
