Gems IV
Parrot Tulip, by Suzun Almquist

Gems IV

December 2- 22, 2017
Donna Seager, Juror

Arts Benicia presents Gems IV – Intimate, Intricate, Exquisite Works of Art, an exhibition with a focused approach on small-scale works. The exhibition includes work in a variety of media by local and regional artists, selected by juror Donna Seager.

Gems IV presents unique, original artwork created in Benicia and the greater Bay Area and offers an intriguing alternative to more commercial shopping. The small scale of the work draws viewers in, creating an intimate, personal experience for the viewer.

Donna Seager is a partner at Seager-Gray Gallery in Mill Valley, CA, a gallery that specializes in contemporary fine art with a focus on works that combine content with a mastery of materials. Seager has worked in and directed galleries in New Orleans, Boston, San Francisco and Mill Valley. She serves on the board of the San Francisco Center for the Book and regularly features handmade and altered books in her gallery presentations.
