Class description: In this class you will learn all about wood engraving which is a relief printmaking technique, such as woodcut and linocut. In 18th and 19th century, it was used as a book illustration method as it is capable to depict a great amount of details with delicate lines. Still contemporary wood engraving artists use this technique with letterpress printing. You will work on a small practice blook and then actual block for your image. We will print both by etching press and by hand.
