Each September, art lovers and collectors from the Bay Area to Sacramento flock to one of Benicia’s most exciting and entertaining fundraising events: Arts Benicia’s Art Auction & Gala. This year’s fab theme is The 60s Experience: Mad Men to Magical Mystery Tour. The evening’s festivities will include hors d’oeuvres from the First Street Cafe, Michael Van Auken’s fabulous photo corner, silent and live art auctions, music by DJ SKATE, dancing, and dessert. The Rellik Tavern will serve signature cocktails again this year, the Clock Tower will be illuminated by 3 Stage Lighting, and we are expecting a decked out, groovy crowd. NEW this year: we will be adding an online preview of the donated artwork two weeks prior to the Auction.
As you know, the art auction is our most important fundraiser. The revenue it generates is crucial for supporting all of our programs. Arts Benicia’s exhibitions, art classes, children’s programs, and special events all contribute to making Benicia and the Bay Area a more cultured, livable place. We hope that these efforts will provide more opportunities for funding and organizational growth which Arts Benicia needs in order to continue to provide vibrant exhibitions and programs in 2016.
Without our generous artists, Arts Benicia could not exist and function as the supportive community art center we strive to be. Heartfelt thanks go to all of our donating artists for the passion you put into your work and for your continued participation with Arts Benicia and the greater community.
Interested in becoming a sponsor? The Art Auction & Gala is a great cause to support and a wonderful sponsorship opportunity! Your generous tax-deductible donations (e.g. tickets, product, service, etc.) and valued business sponsorship make it possible for Arts Benicia to present this exciting fundraising event bringing people from our diverse community together in celebration of our rich culture and artistic traditions. It also helps us to continue to fulfill our mission and serve the public.
