Class Description: This workshop is designed to introduce both beginning and experienced artists to the exciting medium of cold wax combined with oil paint. Under the guidance of Charlynn Throckmorton, an exhibiting artist with over 10 years of painting experience and more than 6 years working specifically with wax mediums, participants will engage in hands-on activities focusing on using various tools such as palette knives, scrapers, and brayers. By the end of the workshop, participants will be comfortable manipulating wax mediums, creating textured and layered artworks. While prior painting experience is preferred, the workshop is structured to accommodate a range of skill levels and diverse learning styles, with a supportive and patient teaching approach to ensure everyone can progress comfortably.
Note: Bring a lunch or snack and your own water. Also, please bring oil paint – your choice of color. The primary colors plus black and white are all you need.
