I Mean It

These are words spoken/written by one of the kings from Chosun (old dynasty proceeding current South Korea), and what the words say, in a nutshell, is that dedication is all that matters; and that dedicating oneself wholeheartedly even to the tiniest tasks — if done well with undivided attention and intention — then and only then should one be able to reach his/her full potential. It was while back when I created this work, during the time when I had just begun working with paper, and also the time I needed much encouragement and direction as an emerging artist. While the exact words had to be modified to fit the canvas, these words really helped me forge on with my own endeavors without judgment while applying myself to this craft with dedication.
