Celebrate Creativity...try something new!

Classes & Workshops for Adults

The mission of Arts Benicia’s Adult Education Program is to provide a learning environment for the exchange of ideas and information and to inspire the community to develop its creative potential. Our community is fortunate in having many professional studio artists who are also gifted teachers. They have provided highly skilled instruction over the years in a caring, attentive classroom environment.

Classes are scheduled year round; a printed brochure is published twice a year. For more information, contact us at info@artsbenicia.org

Class Schedule

Class Cancellation Policy

Early registration is encouraged. If a class is canceled by Arts Benicia, your tuition will be refunded or applied toward another class of your choice. Students may request a refund of tuition up to 7 days before the first day of class; after that no refunds will given. Class tuition cannot be prorated. Contact us at 707-747-0131 regarding this policy or with any inquiries about art classes.

Participate in Our Education Program

As a Student: Check out the class and workshop offerings for adults or for youth and teens. Once you’ve chosen your class, register online, by email, or by calling Arts Benicia.

As a Teacher: Do you have something to offer as a teacher? Teaching art concepts and techniques while fostering creativity is incredibly rewarding. Teach in our classroom or your own workshop or studio.  Contact Arts Benicia with your idea about sharing your skills and expertise in a workshop or class.

Youth Classes & Opportunities

Arts Benicia is committed to providing hands-on children’s art education. Programs include the Next Generation student exhibition, Family Art Days, Art Exploration, EcoArt Summer Day Camp, and Arts Benicia After School art classes. For more information call 707.747.0131 or email Arts Benicia at info@artsbenicia.org

Arts Benicia children’s art classes and camps are funded by grants from The Sato Foundation, the Wilson Family Foundation, and Valero Benicia Refinery.

Youth Programs

Classes & Opportunities for Teens

Arts Benicia’s Teen Art Program (TAP) has three key goals: 1) art making and skill development, 2) apprenticeships with professional artists, and 3) mentoring and community service.

The TAP will encourage artistic exploration and development of technical skills in a variety of traditional and non-traditional 2-D and 3-D media through workshops taught by professional artists. To further develop artistic skills we will encourage and facilitate teen apprenticeship opportunities with professional artists.

The mentoring component of the TAP will involve training teens as gallery docents, art workshop leaders for Family Art Days, and for off-site community art projects. The TAP is supported in part by the Wilson Family Foundation, the Valero Benicia Refinery, and The Sato Foundation.

Arts Benicia Youth and Teen programs are also funded by supporters like you! Thank you.
