Art of a Community 2023

Exhibition Dates: Saturday, January 28 – Sunday, February 26, 2023

Opening Reception: Saturday, January 28, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Exhibition Location: Arts Benicia, Commanding Officer’s Quarters, 1 Commandant’s Lane, Benicia.

Art of a Community 2023 exhibition is the annual members-only show featuring artwork by our artist members.

Family Art Day: Sunday, February 19, 2023 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Family Art Day is creative art-making for all members of the family and is inspired by our upcoming Art of a Community exhibition. We are excited to announce that local artist Dina Farris Appel will be leading a watercolor project for the day. Dina has over three decades of professional experience as an artist, illustrator, muralist, art therapist, and art teacher. Dina’s colorful and expressive paintings in acrylic, watercolor, and collage currently focus on wildlife conservation. Dina loves sharing her knowledge of art and helping students find joy in learning and creating.

Family Art Day is always a free event and is open to the public with no need to pre-register. Art materials are supplied.
