Hedi Desuyo has always been fascinated by Photography’s multi-faceted relationship to time. The sheer possibility of capturing, in a fraction of a second, a fleeting moment that will never repeat itself in exactly the same way, seems magical. Most of her images are about places and objects that show the effect of time; a weather-worn wall, a frayed hem, an object smoothed by many hands that touched it. These objects and places all whisper stories to her imagination and compel her to make images that allow her to remember in the future the experience of the past.
