Palatine
Kim William Fink

“Palatine” is a silkscreen over a Bavarian limestone (lithograph stone). The text is text I found online that relates to a surf asking his master for release to emigrate to the new world in1709. This person was a Palatinate German, from the Southeastern area that experienced constant turmoil from French Catholic forces (to the west) and the Protestant, German forces in the west battling over religion. My American family started with Andreas Finck, who was a Palatinate German who emigrated to the new world in 1709 to upper New York (still have Fink relatives there!).
