Once a sinner has been set free from sin by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit resides within him and gives him power to overcome temptation, to hope in all circumstances, and to stand firm in Truth.  Galatians 5:1 reads, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”  When he is free from guilt, because his Savior already paid the penalty, he is free to obey God’s perfect will for his life.  He can walk in resurrection power!
