Benicia Middle School students were asked to ponder their connections with our Earth. Students used various mediums like graphite, paint, fiber, and pastels to express their prolific ideas about the planet. Many students made keen observations of their physical surroundings incorporating humor and critical thinking into their visual representations. Others contemplated the ever-changing state of the environment and their roles and responsibilities as stewards of this planet. Students
communicated their spiritual connections to the earth by rendering futuristic and imaginative compositions for a world they want and hope to be a part of.
Each piece is a celebration of the peace, empowerment, beauty, and pride that Benicia Middle School students feel in relation to the natural and wonderful world around them.
