About the Artist: Originally from Chile, Valentina received her Bachelor of Arts in 2007 from the PUC University in Santiago, Chile, and completed her research in Japanese traditional art at the Hokkaido University in Sapporo in 2009.
Valentina has shown her work in several exhibitions in the San Francisco Bay Area in California, as well as in Chile. Her artistic path has been marked by her love for teaching. Among other
subjects, she has taught Color Theory, Oil Painting, and Portrait Drawing at the university, art centers, and in her private studio.
Valentina’s work highlights the life and beauty of animals. As a vegan artist and advocate, the vulnerability of animals like chickens has been the driving force of her creations. Chickens appear repeatedly in Valentina’s work as symbols of nature, motherhood, and abundance.
