Class Description: This class will introduce young artists to the beautiful Japanese art of Kinusaiga, a contemporary art form that combines elements of traditional textile techniques with modern materials and methods. Kinusaiga is a no-sew fabric collage technique that combines creativity, color, and design. In this hands-on youth class, students will learn how to create vibrant images by carefully fitting fabric pieces into a prepared design—no needles or sewing required!
This class encourages patience, fine motor skills, and artistic expression while giving students the chance to work with texture and pattern in a unique way. Each student will receive individual guidance and support as they move at their own pace to complete their own kinusaiga artwork.
Perfect for beginners and curious creatives alike, this class offers a fun, relaxing, and rewarding introduction to fiber art in a supportive class environment.
