ABOUT THE EVENT SPEAKERS

Presenters:

Julia Schwartz is a consultant to artists, estates, and art nonprofits in the San Francisco Bay Area. She works with artists to create comprehensive archives, organize artworks, facilitate exhibitions, and build long-term strategies. From 2018 to 2024, she was a co-director at the Artists’ Legacy Foundation, where she managed the Artist Award, produced educational programs, and spoke with artists about their long-term goals. She also works with estates and artist-endowed foundations on special projects and outreach. She holds a BS in Design from UC Davis.

Sushanna Stern worked professionally at the nexus of public art, education, and human rights – partnering with nongovernmental organizations, educational institutions, businesses, and cultural groups. After the passing of her husband Arthur Stern in 2021, she took over managing Arthur Stern Studios Architectural Glass (Benicia) until  closing the business in April 2023. Currently, she represents the estate and legacy of Arthur Stern and pursues her work as a creative. Sushanna credits an earlier Arts Benicia-sponsored panel on estate planning with giving her tools to navigate the complex decisions that followed her husband’s passing.

Keley R. Peterson has over 37 years of global experience in the financial services industry. Beginning her career
with Kidder Peabody in New York and London on the Fixed Income Sales and Trading desk, Keley worked with
central banks globally. Upon returning to the United States, she held the position of Director of Progressive Portfolio Services at Progressive Asset Management, where she developed investment strategies and recommended money managers to individuals and institutions interested in socially responsible investing. As Director of Manager Development, at Progress
Investment Management, she researched and recommended women, minority-owned- and emerging money managers & hedge funds to institutional clients/public funds. Keley founded Willow Grove Advisors in 2009 to use her expertise and experience to provide the highest quality, individually tailored wealth strategies for global entrepreneurs, tech entrepreneurs
and their extended families.

Moderator:
