This class will focus on beginning and intermediate techniques.

Pastel Painting examples and styles through history
Pastel sticks: Which is the best for you?
Strokes: the building blocks of color
Blending techniques: What you need to know!
Illuminating your vision: pastels lend themselves to capturing light!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Christopher Naughton, AIA, is an architect, and recently retired from leading a large health care design practice for a national architectural firm. Chris has been a practicing artist during the past 40 years earning bachelor’s degrees in both architecture and Fine Arts. Chris specializes in Pastel Painting because its dynamic, immediate and fun without the traditional fuss of mixing of paints. Chris is gifted communicator in organizing complex information is simple terms, perfect for beginners and intermediates
