About the Juror: Bay area artist, Susan Aulik, has been involved in many facets of art for decades. She received a Master of Art degree in painting from California State University, Sacramento in 2007 and has exhibited her paintings throughout California. She served as president of the Center for Contemporary Art/Sacramento from 2008-2009 and is currently active in the National Museum of Women in the Arts/San Francisco Auxiliary. She produced several award-winning films. In addition to her MA in art, Aulik has a Master in the Science of Journalism from Northwestern. She was Founder and President of the advertising agency Aulik & Associates, Inc. from 1975 – 1989. Clients included Stanford Shopping Center, bebe, Pier 39, Bear Valley Ski Resort and North Beach Leather. In 2016, Aulik opened The Fourth Wall gallery in Oakland, California. Her goal, as owner/director, has been to support and promote artists, foster experimentation and risk-taking, and contribute to the growth of a strong local art community. Aulik lives and paints in Marin.
