Class Description: Collage is an art form that is made up of overlapping pieces of material, such as photographs, fabric, colored and textured paper, and other types of mixed media. The artistic expertise of collage lies in the choosing, arranging, and affixing. As such, the term ‘collage’ comes from the French term coller, meaning ‘to glue.’
These workshop sessions provide opportunities for collage artists to come together and continue learning from each other, inspiring one another, and creating art.
Collage materials and supplies will be provided, including substrates, adhesives, papers, fabrics, magazine pages, and various ephemera. Attendees are welcome to bring additional materials to use and to share.
There is no instructor, but one or more collage artists will be there as a facilitator, assisting as needed.

A little bit about Jelly Jam: Creating Collage Papers
In Jelly Jam workshop sessions, Collage Jam artists can make their own papers to use in their artworks using Gelli plates and other methods. Papers, paints, and various materials for creating texture are provided. It will require another punch of the Collage Jam punch card.
