Class Description: In this workshop, we will review the techniques used for noting proportions, locating the features, and defining form. Handouts will be given to support these important issues, as well as a demo to illustrate the process. Individual critiques and reviews will be part of this workshop. Based on the traditional concept of using a limited palette, you will create a form with only 5-7 colors/values for the face. This allows for a simpler approach with very effective results. We will explore the use of cross-hatching, as well as how to create a solid form.
Supply List: Art materials will need to be purchased prior to class.
